H-1B Deadline Approaches

It is that time of year again. To all persons with university degrees or equivalent work experience, do not miss the opportunity to apply for an H1B visa. The H1B is granted to professionals and is typically valid for six years with the ability to extend for additional years if a labor certification is pending more than 365 days. The H1B lottery will commence April 1, 2009. 65,000 visas are allocated for Fiscal Year 2010 and an additional 20,000 visas are allocated for those with US masters degrees. Despite the recession, these visas are still expected to go quickly. In fact, last year more than 160,000 applicants applied on the very first day. If you have the credentials, a job offer that requires a degree, or the ability to self-petition, please contact us so we may evaluate your case case.

The Immigrant Investor Visa

The EB5 category, particularly the Regional Center Pilot Program, continues to shine and is clearly one of the best ways to immigrate to the United States. The Pilot Program requires an investment of $500,000 into a designated regional center and leads to a green card without the need of hiring direct employees or actively managing a business. Investment options continue to improve and approval rates have been excellent. Find out if you are a qualified investor and whether the EB-5 is right for you. Although the pilot program is set to expire on March 6, 2009, Congress will very likely in the near future extend one of the best job creation programs America has to offer. Visit our website at www.EB5InvestorVisa.com for more information.

New District Offices

After years of having inadequate facilities, USCIS has opened four new offices throughout South Florida. The former district immigration office at 7880 Biscayne Boulevard is thankfully closed. The new facilities are client friendly, comfortable and parking is plentiful. For the first time in decades, most USCIS employees seem genuinely happy and customer friendly. Clients are scheduled according to zip code.
